Wall Shields Co. – Custom Wall Shields and Firehouse Furnishings
Wall Shields Co. is the epitome of a small business that is firefighter owned and operated. Run by Firefighter Blake Iselin, the company began with custom “wall shields”, enlarged replicas of your department logo or shield, then expanded to custom kitchen tables, cornhole boards, coin displays, dog houses, and much more. The truth is that Wall Shields can make just about anything out of wood and does it with expertise.
I imagine you could say that Wall Shields creates and sells Firefighting Pride. What they can make for you or your department enables you to show off your pride easily.
It is obvious that the company is built with an attention to detail.
I have been following the company for several years now. I have got to see numerous items produced for departments across the U.S. It is amazing to see the Pride that these departments are showing off when they get a piece done by Wall Shields.
Recently, I contacted Blake about some coin displays. Over the past year or so, I have accumulated a pretty substantial challenge coin collection and I wanted to show it off. Blake quickly obliged, creating custom coin displays for Captain Wines and I. These things are wicked. They hold 24 challenge coins. Unfortunately, my collection is somewhere around 70 right now. Not a problem though, it is the perfect size and I can rotate the collection.
While Captain Wines and I were in South Dakota for the South Dakota Firefighter Benefit, we had the honor of auctioning off custom cornhole (or beanbag) boards created by Wall Shields. The boards ended up being the hottest ticket item during the night. The guys bidding on them contacted some other firefighters at the firehouse and they agreed to pool their money to purchase them. Afterwards, they had Willie and I sign the boards and then we played a game. I cannot explain how great these boards looked. I wanted them for myself, but knew that they HAD to stay in South Dakota.
If you are looking to spruce up your Firehouse, contact Wall Shields and have them at least create a custom Wall Shield for you!
